Your Role
As a Payment Processing Specialist, you will manage the payment lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring that all transactions are accurate, secure, and processed in a timely manner. You'll also be responsible for monitoring and resolving payment-related issues, ensuring that both users and investors have a seamless experience on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
💳 Payment Processing Management: Oversee the entire payment processing cycle, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions for all users.
🔍 Transaction Monitoring: Identify and resolve discrepancies, delays, or issues promptly.
🔗 Payment Gateway Integration: Work with the IT team to ensure optimal payment gateway functionality.
📞 Customer Support: Assist users with payment-related inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
🔒 Compliance & Security: Ensure payments meet all financial regulations and security standards.
📊 Reporting & Reconciliation: Track and reconcile payments, ensuring accurate records.
🛠️ Problem Resolution: Quickly resolve any payment-related issues, working with internal teams when necessary.
💡 Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements to improve the payment workflow.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
✔️ 2+ years of experience in payment processing or financial operations.
✔️ Solid understanding of payment gateways, merchant accounts, and financial transactions.
✔️ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
✔️ Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.
✔️ Experience with payment reconciliation and reporting.
✔️ Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
✔️ Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have:
➕ Familiarity with payment security standards like PCI-DSS.
➕ Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
➕ Knowledge of chargeback management.
➕ Fluency in French or another language is a plus.
